Mental health challenges such as depression, anxiety and other problems with mood stability are real and need compassionate support.
Living Grace is an understanding community providing that support and encouragement for the individual dealing with the pain of difficult mental and emotional issues. The curriculum for this peer group is filled with insightful education, tools to improve life and a renewal of faith.
Family Grace is for the individual watching a loved one struggle with mental health challenges.
You are welcome to begin attending a Grace Group at any point. Each session is "self-contained," so you do not have to attend in sequence. You will be able to pick up any sessions you missed in the next 16-week cycle.
Grace Groups meet separately on Tuesdays, from 7-8:30 p.m. through December 19. The spring session will begin February 6 and run through May 15. Classes will meet in the Commons building (332 E. Seminary Ave., Wheaton, on the south side of Seminary). The $20 fee covers the cost of materials.
For more information about Grace Groups for mental health, email Pastor of Congregational Care and Family Ministries, Eric Channing, or his administrative assistant, Christy Chiodras, or call them at (630) 668-0878.
